If a Verizon hotspot is broadcasting Wi-Fi, but no internet is available:
1. Power on the hotspot and click the Menu button on the top right of the device until you see the Software Update option
2. Click the Ok/Power button to view the Software Update option, then click the Ok/Power button to select Check For Update. This will force the hotspot to check in with Verizon and apply a configuration update if there is one available. Below are the screens you will see through this process:
3. You may have to repeat this process a few times and reboot before the hotspot begins to function normally.
4. If the device continues to have issues, please submit a service request through our ticketing system with the same student ID + verbiage that a replacement is needed in the same field.
(Example: StudentID - Replacement needed for T20-AssetTag)
All initial HotSpot requests are required to follow the GCS MiFi Request process linked here.
