Student Devices

If a student device has been lost, unreturned, or stolen*, it may be reported through a ticket to receive assistance with locking and locating it. If short on devices, a request for additional devices may be submitted for a replacement to be issued if has not been returned within 30 days.

*If the device was stolen from the family, the family will need to file a police report with the serial number and the value of the iPad or Chromebook included. 


  • Each iPad is worth $620 including the case, management license, and warranty. Once the police report is filed, it can be uploaded with a ticket submitted reporting the iPad as stolen. Technology Services will issue a replacement after a copy of the police report is received.
  • Each Chromebook is worth $330 including the management license and warranty. Once the police report is filed, it can be uploaded with a ticket submitted reporting the Chromebook as stolen. Technology Services will issue a replacement after a copy of the police report is received.


Replacement student chargers can be requested through the service catalog. Until this article is updated, there is no cost associated.


Student iPad Cases


The district has not received funding to purchase extra iPad cases. If a case is lost, damaged, or stolen, schools may work with the Technology Services purchasing technician to order a replacement using school funds.



Staff Devices

If a staff device has been lost, unreturned, or stolen*, it may be reported through a ticket to receive assistance with locking and locating it. 

If the device was lost and cannot be found, the staff member or school will be responsible for the full cost of replacing it by completing a budget transfer to Technology Services prior to requesting a new one. MacBooks are $1150, L15's are $909.

*If the staff device was stolen or unreturned, the staff member or school will need to file a police report with the serial number and the value of the MacBook or L15.

Staff chargers are the staff member or school's responsibility to replace when lost or stolen. If the charger was unreturned from a previous staff member, an additional charger can be requested through the service catalog.
